Web 2.0 is a concept revealed by a discussion between O’Reilly and Media Live international in the year 2004. Most of people are confused and have been in a dilemma that web 2.0 is a development platform or a new technology, though this is not true at all.

Basically, Web 2.0 is a powerful and strong blending of different technologies, applied to raise sharing of information, user interaction, creativity, innovation and desktop experience. Web 2.0 uses XML to display site content in different formats like RDF, RSS and Atom. RSS is very helpful, as the user not only gets a hyper link on the web page, instead is also subscribed. Whenever any modification is done in the web content, a notification arrives at each and every time.
