Its happened to? all of us when we are in a rush to post something on such websites as Craigslist and Verblist. We forget some important details that can make the difference on whether a viewer will contact us regarding our listing. I see it more and more everyday on our website as people post new ads they still follow the same traditional rules and wonder why nothing is working for them. For that same reason I wanted to write the article and help all of you online posters get better results when you are putting your wonderful products or services for sale on Verblist and Craigslist.

If you really think it's there not etiquette or rule book that shows you what an ideal contribution would look right? I'm sure you can use many items like this on the internet tell you what you should be found. But I always say, it is always easier said than done. 1. List specific payment options – You would think that people only accept cash when posting in the online classifieds but you will be surprised. In the case of businesses that list their services more than likely they can accept all major credit cards making it more convenient for buyers. Yet many business owners who post ads still do not list these payment options. This can give your business a “small company feel” even though it might not be. So remember ?always list all of your options for accepting payments.

1. Get Creative - Now here is where most say I do not have time to be creative, well you know what? You need to take the time and learn to be. With most online classifieds website allowing HTML postings you have more of an opportunity to showcase your products and services. I am not telling you to be the next Andy Warhol but take some pride in your listings and make them attractive in which ever way you can. You can Google hundreds of HTML tutorials or even find templates that you can customize and then cut and paste in to your ad. Remember you owe it to your business to learn different disciplines.

1. Check if it works – Probably the easiest of the steps but mostly overlooked. You shouldn’t just set it and forget it, you need to check up on it. Once your listing has posted look for it and? see if all your pictures appear right, if your sentences make sense and most importantly if your email and contact information is correct. Check the reply to link and send yourself a test email, remember you can never be too sure.
