Although I can build websites with html or use Dreamweaver and Frontpage I am not an expert website designer and to be honest I struggle with software and scripts. Accepting my limitations I bought the XSitePro web design software in 2007 and upgraded to XSitePro V2 last year.
When I first got XSitePro I built my digital download site, exclusively through. Used Paypal as my payment processor and thank you pages with download links for each product. It was a cheerful but not very professional looking website. I was glad my efforts, but there were problems with my download links are accessed by fraudsters and over time I began to crawl on the unprofessional look of my website.
I and I decided to rebuild the site using the Memberspeed had invested several major software. However, shopping cart software, I mean that article to get the updated content sites to help search engines on a regular basis along was to build a site that has a membership directory.
Sunny, but the fatal flaw is to use the software time-consuming and difficult for me to figure out that it is not flexible enough. For a wider range of Web design skills may not be a problem, but it was for me it is. My site look more professional, ostensibly because I used a ready-built Memberspeed template, but in the shopping cart looks unattractive confusion, I had no skills to correct.
Sales disappeared and another solution was called for. I wanted part of the solution to be XSitePro V2 because I love working with it. I have tried to use other shopping carts but find them difficult to understand and I don't find them flexible enough for my limited skills. I had regularly seen posts in forums about using DLGuard as a shopping cart, or indeed paying memberships. Most but not all of the posters recommended DLGuard, but not everybody is going to like the same thing.
One day a question was asked about whether or not DLGuard could be integrated with XSitePro V2. The replies were all in the positive and when I checked out some of the sites indicated as using both I was quite impressed. A timely payment from Google Adsense was deposited into my PayPal account so I thought 'go on girl go for it'.
I bought DLGuard for the princely sum of $146.05 including VAT. Before I could use it I needed to build the bones of a site, and being an impatient bod it was a good job that I had the speed of XSitePro. I used XHeader (a freebie with XSitePro V2) to make the header and utilised the many inbuilt design features to build the rest of the site. Not perfect but it looks more professional than my first digital download site and I can make alterations very easily.
My next step was to unzip DLGuard and upload it to my website following quite easy instructions. It wasn't long before I'd uploaded my first product and added my Getresponse autoresponder details. That's built in with both XSitePro and DLGuard so that was the easy part.
My next step is to re-design DLGuard shopping cart, so that it looks like my website design. I sat there, watching the screen, grasping my head several times in my decision, I was my in-depth. I went to DLGuard and XSitePro forum on how to find tutorials and can not find. I thought for a moment, and decided the only way to do what I want is to experiment.
I had a list of alterable DLGuard pages so I visited my sites Cpanel and viewed the source files. I wanted to edit them but being cautious I copied the source files into notepad before I began. That way if I boobed I would be able to replace the original source files.
An hour later I had added my new header to the shopping cart, altered the background colour and a few other things to give the appearance of integration. Considering how hopeless I am with scripts and software and my lack of design expertise I have surprised myself with what I have achieved.
My website now has an integrated shopping cart and my downloads are secure from cheats. It has flexibility in that I can add articles and reviews quickly and whenever I want. To my eyes it looks better than the previous two designs and it's even started to make sales again after a spell in the doldrums.
One little glitch was with my first sale on the new site. I had redesigned the product download page and to check to see if everything was working I reduced a product to $0.01 and bought it with a joint Paypal account that I have with a partner. As I was testing I got called away and when I got back to my computer somebody else had bought the product and told me that the download link didn't work. No it didn't because I hadn't uploaded the blooming product at that point. But, never mind the lower price than normal sale tested the rest of the work that I'd done and showed me that yes XSitePro and DLGuard do work together and it isn't all that difficult.
Build a website in a few hours with XSitePro software. No previous experience required.
I believe I am very skeptical of people who hate to spend money. To remove insecticide from my wallet, but spiders are the size of elephants in parts of such animals the size of the insects will get my money.
I have been online for over 12 months now to make a few pence. And others, I want to give up the daily work. Yawn, how many times I have heard, I heard you say. In this process, I learned that the website services, domain names, auto-reply, marketing and website development (to name a few cases).
All of these Cleaver view seems to be great, but I get overwhelmed, when I tried to put it into action, and I thought, they should first try any one of them, how can I really make the work on the site?
My main problem is, as it seemed, always came back to the ability to develop websites with all these clever coding to get the results. I tried to my website from someone, but if I did everything that it meant wading through large amounts of source code and constantly pestering the developers to change the now already busy on another site. I have also tried my hand in Dreamweaver, but what the hell to get 12 months to learn Dreamweaver or 12 months, how to make money online. There is no competition really. Again I looked at my other site building software isitebuildit like, but something kept me from following it up, was that spider back in my wallet!
Then I found XsitePro and to my astonishment I actually parted with my money relatively easily. I downloaded the free manual, read through it and it was this that persuaded me. It was exactly what I was looking for. It's set up very much like a widows application where you can add files, delete them or move them into subfolders etc. It operates as its name suggests, as a Total Site Management package, ideal for the affiliate marketer who wants to test out markets before developing a full website. All my ideas now get captured in my XsitePro software. Add a project as a new idea and then its there until you decide to develop it. Each time you open XsitePro you can develop the idea you want to that day. Develop a one page mini-site, article/product pages or a full scale website. Publish when ready and you're suddenly an affiliate marketer ready to concentrate on promoting your sites.
All you need to get the relevant start is to follow the tutorial, which is to provide, you can publish test area without a domain and your own host. You will need to purchase a domain name and host software and XSitePro publish your own website, but it may be less than £ 20 per year to achieve. I have purchased a few areas and had created some of the hosts, but did not receive any further for a long time, until I discovered XSitePro website building software.
The only drawback I can think of is to buy software, you need to access a typical face to face sales pages, but do not let this put you off. The software is really good, is a relatively new (released earlier this year), it can only get better for the Forum members a free upgrade for future improvement of inputs. Members of the forum is also a great place to ask questions, there are regular "expert" knowledge is provided free of charge, or there is a help system provided by the owners.
Get XSitePro and start promoting it with your first website now. It's likely to be the must have tool for all affiliate and online marketers in the near future.
I hope you have as much success as I have with XSitePro. I wish you all the best. Katy by K8yA.com. If you have any comments about this article or want to tell me about your success XSitePro website email me at Katy@k8ya.com
